SITE SPECIFIC INSTALLATION
At the opening of Printemps New York, Italian artist Christian Pellizzari unveiled Odyssey of Nature's Rebirth, a site-specific installation presented in collaboration with Nilufar Gallery and curated by Valentina Guidi Ottobri.
Located in the Grand Foyer, the project combined handcrafted Murano glass flowers with intricate 3D-printed structures, creating an imagined botanical landscape. Inspired by the resilience of nature and its capacity for transformation, the work introduced a contemporary interpretation of traditional Venetian craftsmanship into the store's architectural setting.
Pellizzari's artistic practice investigates the relationship between natural evolution and human intervention. His sculptural flowers bring together the centuries-old traditions of Murano glassmaking and contemporary fabrication techniques, exploring how organic forms might adapt to an increasingly artificial world. At Printemps New York, these ideas took the form of a luminous garden, where familiar botanical structures appeared transformed into new and unexpected species.
